Gotland sheep originates from the Swedish island of Gotland. This rare breed of sheep is renowned for the beauty of its lustrous wool, its silky-to-the-touch curls, and its unparalleled suppleness. The wool can appear in all shades of grey, from silver to charcoal-grey (dark enough to be almost black) and occasionally shades of brown and beige. Gotland sheepskin is considered among the most luxurious. As a stunning decorative accessory, the Gotland sheepskin can be used to drape over an armchair or sofa, or as a rug.

Our products are 100% natural and very often prepared without harsh chemicals. Although sheepskin wool is a very good dirt and liquid repellent, you will still have to clean it at some point. Most of the time, for general weekly up keep, you can remove dust and loose hair easily by shaking the rug vigorously. If it gets dirty or wet, you should absolutely never use a tumble dryer or washing machine. Machine or hand washing may affect the appearance of the natural wool fibres and the leather pelt. Dry cleaning by a professional is a safest option.
